    Dash In Food Stores is a convenience store chain that prides itself on being a hub for convenient living, offering fresh and prepared food, beverages and fuel, 24 hours a day.

     

    We are currently in search of a Fresh Food & Beverage Trainer whose role is an integral part in driving an exceptional customer experience through high quality, consistent and efficient foodservice execution across our growing chain of Dash In stores.  This role performs hands-on operational training to new employees, spearheads training for fresh food and beverage initiatives, and implements and assesses field based learning and development for our management, hourly team members and franchise partners.

     

    Focal points for the Fresh Food & Beverage Trainer includes ensuring that targets in hospitality, operational execution, food safety, and quality control are met.

     

    This high-profile, forward-facing, and fast-paced position requires a passion for food and hospitality excellence, foodservice acumen and teaching skills. 

    We are looking for a Fresh Food & Beverage Trainer to execute training in our Maryland, Virginia and Delaware Markets.  This role is based in Southern Maryland and will travel to our store locations frequently.  There is flexibility for remote work when schedules permit.

    Accountabilities

    • Consistently possess, maintain and demonstrate expert level knowledge of Dash In fresh foodservice standards, processes, procedures and recipes.
    • Supports Field Learning Development for high quality and consistent fresh food and beverage execution and rollout of programs in extended and basic grab and go stores.
    • Facilitates food safety training: safe food handling, sanitation practices, and receiving and storage of food order to brand and ServeSafe standards.
    • Delivers training on equipment operation and maintenance. 
    • Facilitates training on customer engagement, merchandising and upselling for a foodservice experience
    • Pre-opening store visits to verify store’s readiness to begin training on foodservice (confirmation and organization of small wares, pre-testing of equipment)
    • Facilitate corporate-developed foodservice field initiatives, training programs, processes, and systems rollouts for company and franchise stores. 
    • Responsible for training of draft alcohol programs and alcohol service certifications. 
    • Facilitates Train the Trainer classes and certifies food service members and in-store trainers 
    • Facilitates online classes for field leadership as required.
    • Analyze learning and training data to measure overall effectiveness of learning to ensure training programs are being executed and delivered to desired results.
    • Partner cross functionally with retail operations and category management in a way that provides timely feedback and escalates issues that could prevent execution of new programs and drives each market’s performance against standards.
    • Recommends ways to streamline processes to ensure efficiency that enhance learners experience and our customers experience. 

    Required Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years hands-on training in fast-casual or full-service restaurant
    • Minimum of 2 years of non-classroom training facilitation (such as running a training store, on the job training, etc.)
    • Prior experience facilitating classroom training, following a facilitator guide
    • At least 1 year of administrative duties that included: following up + responding to email, attending conference calls, 
    • Proficient in using and creating of basic MS Office (esp. Excel & PowerPoint) documents
    • Experience using learning and training technology to deliver multiple learning modalities
    • Ability to meet deadlines and complete work under limited supervision
    • Acute Attention to detail
    • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
    • Proven experience as corporate trainer with a track record in executing successful training programs

    • Experience in project management 
    • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
    • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
    • Phenomenal written and verbal communication, presentation and public speaking skills 
    • Prefer a BS degree in education, human resources or relevant field
    • Experience in building and improving teams through leadership and training.
    • Proficient in current mobile, web tools and technologies 
    • Innovative and creative thinker; proactively identifies opportunities; motivated by challenge, change and opportunity to help an organization look at things differently 
    • Relationship builder; partners cross-functionally and works effectively with various levels of the organization; team player with the presence to inspire and coalesce varying points of view 
    • Strong experience in team-building, both internally and through agency and freelance resources, to create an A-level brand group
