    The Accounting department is currently in search of a Franchise Accountant. The incumbent reports directly to the Retail Accounting Supervisor in the performance of duties. The incumbent is to be knowledgeable of all general ledger sources and the flow of accounting data. The essential function of the Franchise Accountant - Dash In is to assure and maintain the accuracy of all convenience store reporting and to provide direct support to our convenience store managers and franchisees.

    Accountabilities

    • Maintain a high level of service as provided in our corporate philosophy.
    • Prepares analytical spreadsheets for convenience store managers and franchisees upon area manager’s request and emails
    • Review and manage Account receivable / Open account balance for Dash In C-store locations (DISR and RevShare locations) including Revsh rent and rounding error reclass.  
    • Maintains store retail table in Dynamics AX, ensuring it is updated accurately and timely for changeovers of stores of operators including fuel, mdse and carwash parameter,
    • Prepares and reconciles carwash reporting for all Splash In sites. Analyze carwash reporting for proper profitability by site. Ensure that all programs are administered properly.
    • Analyzes key accounts, such as; cash over/short, drive-offs and transfer vendor on a continual basis so that management may be informed of any problems prior to month end. (review before month end close out) Re-class all general ledge entries for month end close.
    • Assists the Retail Accounting Supervisor in verification of accuracy in monthly operating statement preparation for Dash In. Review revenue share operation statement and gross profit calculation to insure the reports match. Prepare all reports to be uploaded to the franchise portal at the close of each month.
    • Monitors, researches and reviews all merchandise inventory values each month to assure accuracy in reporting. Works with many levels of management to resolve issues relating to any merchandise reporting issues. Prepares, reviews and researches all inventory counts and inventory losses booked. 
    • Reconcile, reviews and verifies accuracy of monthly balance sheet accounts relating to convenience stores a defined by Retail Accounting Supervisor.
    • Performs special projects, scope project, design and testing plan, accounting and analytical work as requested and in support of the department.

    Required Qualifications

    • Undergraduate accounting degree desired but associate degree or related college accounting courses may be accepted.
    • A minimum of three years of general ledger and accounting experience is required.
    • Additional experience is expected in the absence of an undergraduate degree including, but not limited to, retail accounting.
    • A strong knowledge of financial spreadsheets is required.
